Iraq Rejects Turkish NATO Troops
In his statement to the Italian newspaper Corrie Della Sera, Yawar said, "There are two points to watch out for in regards to sending soldiers to Iraq. First, they should not be soldiers from neighboring countries. Second, they should be troops of an administration that respects human rights. Third, it is important that the number [of soldiers] and vehicles should be limited. Large-scale participation of a few countries is preferable to participation with minor units."
