Iran-Turkey trade exchanges increased by $14million

Turkey’s export to Iran in October 2002 was $45.09 million and its import was $118.2 million , while the figures stood at $19.5 million and $75.1 million during October last year. The report further put the total amount of trade exchanges between the two neighboring states in 2001 at $1.01 billion, indicating 13.48 percent rise in comparison with the preceding year.Taking into account that the crude oil was the main item imported from Iran to Turkey, any increase in oil prices in the international market has resulted in increase of import expenditure.
