"Important step has taken with US during meetings"

ANKARA (AA) – Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said on Monday that Turkey and the United States would continue talks on fight against terrorism.

Replying to questions of reporters on talks between Turkey and the United States on elimination of the terrorist organization PKK/KADEK from the north of Iraq, Gul said that those talks "were an important step taken to eradicate terrorism."

Gul, who refrained from giving details, said, "significant progress has been recorded and talks will continue."
