I went to Turkey to get my nails done – she made me bleed but it was dirt cheap

A WOMAN has revealed that she flew abroad to get a manicure and pedicure and was left very impressed with her new nails.

But although she thought her nails were “cute”, the nail technician actually made her finger bleed, leaving social media users in shock.

Posting on TikTok under the username @nilofarx, the beauty fan, who is from Dubai, documented the process of getting her nails done in Istanbul, Turkey.

She said: “Getting my nails done in Turkey.” 

At the start of the clip, the beauty fan filmed her journey to the salon, as the roads of Istanbul were packed full of yellow taxis.

We then saw the woman at the nail salon, as she commented: “Cute interior.”

Following this, the woman had to make the decision on what colour nails she would get, but as many people will know, this is often a challenging choice.

Looking at the colours available, the social media user said: “So many options.”

She showed off her plain nails prior to the manicure and even sipped on a cup of tea, as she noted: “Yay I love tea.”

We then saw the woman getting her nails done, as the artist buffed her nails with a nail file and then used clippers to remove the skin from around her nail bed.

Looking at her natural nails, the woman admitted: “Ew my nails.”

The nail expert got to work and painted her nails a lovely pink colour, as the woman added: “Paint it girl.” 

But the woman didn’t just have a pink gel manicure – the nail whizz then added beautiful flower detailing to her nails, leaving the woman very impressed.

Showing off her fresh manicure, she beamed: “Love these flowers.

“So cute.” 

However, when the woman was getting her nails done, it was visible that one of her fingers, by her nail bed, was actually bleeding, as a result from the nail artist removing the dead skin – and many social media users were quick to pick up on this in the comments. 

While the beauty fan only showed the process of getting her finger nails done, she later explained that she actually had a gel pedicure too. 

She revealed that it cost her just 395 Turkish lira for her nails and toes, which is the equivalent of only £16.

The woman’s clip has left stunned many, as it has quickly amassed a whopping 260.5k views.

It has 23.5k likes, 144 comments and 123 shares. 

However, social media users were left divided at the woman’s clip.

While some beauty fans were impressed with the manicure, others weren’t pleased that the nail expert made the woman bleed. 

One TikToker posted: “They look amazing girlll.”

A second noted: “I liked your nails.”

At the same time, someone else said: “I saw the blood was coming from [the] cuticle. not professional.” 

Whilst another claimed: “Turkish nail techs can’t go a day without making someone’s hands bleed.”
