‘I didn’t think I’d make it out alive after horrific mummy makeover’ | UK | News
A Brit who travelled to Turkey for “mummy makeover surgery” filmed a video as a warning for others, saying she did not think she would make it out alive. Maisie Smith flew to Istanbul for a tummy tuck to remove excess fat and skin, Mons (pubic) lift, uplift and implants.
She was looking forward to the procedures but in a TikTok filmed from her hospital bed, she said it’s one of the “hardest things” she’s done.
And she said she didn’t think she would make it out alive after feeling really bad.
Ms Smith said: “I can’t even cry. This is the worst thing I’ve ever done in my life.
“I’m in so much pain…I’m so uncomfortable.”
She added: “I’ve got to have a blood transfusion; I need a wash. I just want my mum. It’s f***ing horrible.”
She captioned the video: “Cannot express how I feel right now.”
To the relief of her followers, she posted another video three days later where she was back home and smiling.
She said: “I’m not crying because I had a tooth out…it was horrific.”
The Sun reports the post has been viewed more than 485,000 times.
There have been hundreds of comments left by TikTok users, with some saying she is vain but others commending her for her honesty about the painful procedures.

Ms Smith responded: “Absolutely! This is why I’ve not sugarcoated an absolute thing I’ve blogged the whole way so people know what they’re in for! Anything else?????”
Kirstine StaceyK said: “Was your choice hunny, hope you are ok though x.”
Ms Smith replied: “Yes it was I’ve blogged it to show people this isn’t easy not for sympathy!”
Nicollex10 posted: “Not me seeing this 4 weeks before flying, am absolutely terrified. Wishing you such a quick recovery! All the pains gonna be worth it.”
K.K backed Ms Smith and posted: “It’s so sad people quick to jump on here and judge her. She’s clearly had a past of being obese and this is her 2nd shot of ‘fixing’ her body.”
