High-speed train leaves Ankara for Istanbul for trial
High-speed train left Ankara for Istanbul for trial on Tuesday with a ceremony in which also Turkish Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim participated.
Yildirim said that trip between Ankara and Istanbul by train would last three hours one and half years later.
The high-speed train which will start its regular trips on June 4 will cover 567 kilometers of railway distance between Ankara and Istanbul in 4.5 hours with an average speed of 150 km/h.
