Gul: US has Lost the Support of Turkish Public

Gul spoke to journalists on the way to Egypt to attend the Iraqi Conference in Sharm Al Sheikh. He asked, "How much longer can they postpone the operation? They have lost the Turkish people already." Gul said the terror in Iraq affects everybody adding, "If someone’s words are to be taken seriously, it is clear that that person remains responsible." Prior to the Iraqi Conference where Gul represents Turkey, Iraq’s neighbors met yesterday. It was the eighth such meeting of Iraq’s neighbors. At first, Syria and Iran criticized the Iraqi government for the Felluce (Fallujah) operation. Meanwhile Iraqi Interim Foreign Minister Hosyar Zebari argued that the resistance was becoming a threat and said they had to carry out the operation because of the elections.
