Gul: Everybody Knows That Corruption Took Place In Turkey
When reminded about the news telling that the government works on the issue of corruption that took place in the past, Gul said that ”why is energy so expensive in Turkey?..This has to be clarified, but we won’t use this corruption as our tool in politics.”
Upon another question, Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said that they have not decided yet if the adoption of the Public Procurement Law would be postponed or not. Gul said that the former minister of Public Works and Housing had also hesitations on the law. ”The law is fine, it aims to improve competition and it aims to bring transparency, but it is very general in chacter. When we talk about Public Procerument Law, we need details. Our Public Works and Housing Minister has concerns about that,” he said.
Upon a question, Gul said that the red tape problem has to end to bring more foreign capital to the country.
