Greeks start voting in landmark elections

Thousands of Greece’s nearly 10 million voters caught ferries and buses back to birthplace islands and mountain villages to cast their ballots.

They included many overseas Greeks who have returned to vote in an election regarded as the most significant since military rule ended in 1974 because of the Olympics, Cyprus peace talks and a changing of the guard to a younger generation of leaders.
