Greek Tourism Minister Arrives in Turkey

Avrampoulos will watch the 49th Eurovision Song Contest that is going to be held at Istanbul’s Abdi Ipekci Sports Hall tonight.

Turkey, Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Greece, Serbia-Montenegro, Greek Cypriot side, Malta, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Holland, Albania, Croatia and Macedonia will compete in the contest’s grand final tonight.

In the half final of the contest on May 12, Andorra, Belarus, Denmark, Israel, Lithuania, Monaco, Estonia, Finland, Switzerland, Latvia, Portugal and Slovenia couldn’t qualify to grand final.

Sertab Erener, representing Turkey with the song "Every Way That I Can", won the 48th Contest. The event was transmitted live by 42 broadcasters over the Eurovision network reaching over 100 million viewers across Europe and beyond in territories as far afield as Australia.
