Greek Cypriot officials arrested two Iranian students
Being East Mediterranean Universty students two yougn Iranian today wanted to cross to Greek Cyprus for the day, but Greek Cypriot officers arrested them.
These stutednts who were suggested by United Nation Peace Force (UNFICYP) to go and ask Greek Cypriot officer how to cross to country were trying to get informantion how they could enter the south.
Cyprus Mail daily reported that Iranian students would be kept in jail by Monday and they were requesting from UN officers to inform them about crossing procedure.
In addition to student, a couple with their children were also arrested and put in jail. Working in Greek Cyprus for three years, couple was accused of entering the south from illegal ways, following bail, they were released.
