Greek Cypriot delegation to visit Ankara

Representatives of the Greek Cypriot DISI party were invited to Turkey by the ruling Justice and Development Party.
The delegation is reported to be bringing a document detailing proposals aimed at resolving the Cyprus dispute agreed to by the Cypriot Greek National Council.
DISI announced that during the Ankara visit its delegates would act in line with the majority views National Council.
The delegation is to meet with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul.
DISI had supported the United Nations plan to reunify the two states on the island and its delegations will be one of the first from the Greek Cypriot side to pay an official visit to the Turkish capital.
