Greek Cypriot Citizens Can Enter Turkey Without Any Visa

Everybody should see Turkey’s point of view and how world peace was evaluated, Erdogan noted.

Erdogan said that he held contacts with people living in both of the sides in the island during his visit to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Greek Cypriot citizens could enter Turkey without any visa as of May 22, Erdogan announced.

Erdogan pointed out that they would open the doors of Turkey to all the Greek Cypriots for the first time after 40 years of interval.

Those who enter Turkey could stay in Turkey for one month and extend this period in case they wanted, Erdogan said.

Erdogan said, ”we expect Greece to take the similar step like Turkey.”

The world needed this, Erdogan stated and noted that nobody would benefit from ”row.”

Erdogan said that details of the issue would be announced by the Foreign Ministry.

The Greek Cypriots could enter Turkey on condition that they used TRNC line, Erdogan pointed out.

TRNC had given the opportunity to the Greek Cypriot citizens to enter its territory without visa as of April 23.
