GREECE, TURKEY TO OBTAIN U.S. MISSILE SUPPORT

The Pentagon has awarded Raytheon a $6.4 million contract for continued production support of the Evolved SeaSparrow. The contract ensures the continuation of the missile support program during fiscal 2003.
Raytheon has proceeded in low-rate initial production of the ESSM in a project that involves companies from Europe, Canada and Australia. The support work will take place at Raytheon’s factory in Tucson, Ariz. as well as in Greece and Turkey.
