French Deputy gives latest information about French hostages

French deputy and law maker Didier Julia is in Syria’s capital to help negotiations for the release of the French journalists taken hostage in Iraq. Didier relates the latest developments to the journalists in the Cham Hotel in Damascus. Julia states that the journalists will be taken to their homes from Syria after they are released. Julia says, “They will be either in Jordan, or in Damascus, the important thing is their freedom. The French Embassy here expends great energy for these journalists to be released. If they are saved, this will not be my success, but France’s success.”

Asked if there is any problem between Syria and France, Julia says, “If there was be any problem, I wouldn’t be here. The relationship between these two countries is very good. There is no problem.”
