Free thought party formed in Turkish Republic of N. Cyprus

Interior Ministry officially registered the new party which is formed by Salih Cosar, former leader of Democrat Party (DP), and by many other politicians who quit DP.

FTP will have two seats at TRNC Parliament of 50 seats. The representatives are Girne deputy Unal Ustel and Gazimagusa deputy Ahmet Kasif.

The number of political parties in TRNC rose to 18 and the number of parties which have seats at TRNC Parliament increased to 8.
