France Plans Referendum on Turkey Only
The package envisages that the French people will have the last say regarding France’s decision on enlargements to the Union.
The four article package states that a referendum will be held for Turkey’s EU membership bid, but not for Romania, Bulgaria, and Croatia.
The 4th article says the reason no referendum is required for the countries mentioned above is that it would harm the development progress made during membership talks.
