Former Flame Homesley Signs Contract in Turkey – Liberty University


LYNCHBURG, Va. – Former Liberty Flame Caleb Homesley has signed a contract to play for Bahçesehir Koleji Spor Kulübü in Istanbul, Turkey for the 2025-26 season.
     
This will be Homesley’s sixth destination in his professional career and his second stop with a Turkish team. Previously, Homesley played for Tofas Spor Kulübü in Bursa, Turkey during the 2023-24 season. With Tofas, Homesley averaged 16.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Homesley’s other professional teams include: Erie Bayhawks (NBA G League, 2021), Hamburg Towers (2021-22), Zenit Saint Petersburg (2022-23) and Gran Canaria (2024-25). Homesley also played in the NBA Summer League for the Utah Jazz (2022) and Washington Wizards (2021).

     

Bahçesehir Koleji Spor Kulübü plays in the Basketbol Super Ligi (BSL), the highest level of Basketball in Turkey, and in the Eurocup.

     

Last season for Gran Canaria (Spain), Homesley averaged 13.1 points per game in 36 total appearances and 11.9 ppg in 24 EuroCup games. Homesley and Gran Canaria reached the BKT EuroCup final.

     

In his time at Liberty, Homesley earned 2020 ASUN Player of the Year and Tournament MVP honors as a senior. He was a two-time ASUN All-Conference first team selection and made the ASUN All-Decade team. During his senior season, Homesley averaged a career-best 15.3 points per game to go along with 5.7 rebounds and 2.4 assist per game. The Indian Trail, N.C. native currently ranks tied for 11th on Liberty’s all-time scoring lists with 1,539 career points and No. 8 on the all-time rebounding list with 703 career rebounds.

In 2019, Homesley’s memorable 30-point performance helped lift No. 12 seed Liberty to an 80-76 win over No. 5 seed Mississippi State in the NCAA Tournament Round of 64 for the Flames’ first NCAA Tournament triumph in school history.
