Former E.O.K.A. Member Visits In Northern Cyprus
Bayrak Television (BRT) said Andreas Konstantino, a former EOKA member, who had been held responsible for killing of Erdogan Mustafa and Fikret Kaloncu before July 20, 1974 in Akdeniz Village, visited the village and this escalated tension.
Simser Erdogan, wife of Erdogan Mustafa, asked Andreas Konstantino, who was sitting at the coffee house of the village, where he had buried the dead body of her husband and her relative. Konstantino and Turkish Cypriots whom he came together to the village, were taken out of the village and police was called there.
The villagers said they were incited by the Greek Cypriots who visited the village, stating that some Greek Cypriots said dead body of the two Turkish Cypriots were buried to the coast. The villagers called for permission from police to search for the dead bodies.
Police said they would investigate the issue and that permission should be taken from the concerned units.
