FM Gul pays a visit to Moscow after 8 years

Russian President, Vladimir Putin, will receive Gul and then Gul will have extensive talks with Ivanov in his 3-day visit

During the first official visit by a Turkish Foreign Minister to Russia in eight years, a series of cooperation protocols will be signed.

During Gul’s visit, in addition to bilateral relations, international and regional issues will be discussed as well. Reportedly, the fight against terrorism will be an intense focus in the talks.

In addition, it is expected that many issues such as increasing commercial and economic relations, opportunities for cooperation in the energy field, Turkish investments in Russia, providing stability in Caucasus and the Central Asia, having more active Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, and improving relations in military-technical and air-space areas will be addressed.

Gul will meet with Russian Speaker of the Parliament, Sergei Mironov, Russian Relations of Properties Minister and Former Chief of Turkey-Russia KEK (Public Economic Development), Farit Gazzizulin, Moscow Mayor Yuri Lujkov, and with Turkish private sector representatives.
