FM Gul meets with Polish FM Cimoszewicz
WARSAW (AA) – Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, who is currently in Polish capital Warsaw on a two-day official visit as the guest of Foreign Minister Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz, has begun holding talks with Polish officials.
Gul laid a wreath on the monument of the "Unknown Soldiers", which was erected out of respect to soldiers, who had lost their lives for the sake of Poland’s independence since the 16th century.
Later, Gul held a bilateral meeting with his Polish counterpart Cimoszewicz.
Turkish Ambassador to Poland Candan Azer was also in attendance at the meeting.
The sides exchanged views over bilateral relations between Turkey and Poland, regional and international developments.
Following the bilateral meeting, Gul and Cimoszewicz presided meetings between Turkish and Polish delegations.
Gul and Cimoszewicz are expected to hold a joint press conference later in the day.
After partaking in a luncheon to be hosted in his honor by Cimoszewicz, Gul will be received by Deputy Parliament Speaker Tomasz Nalecz.
