Fischer to Testify in German Visa Scandal

A consensus has been reached by the opposition regarding a related motion submitted earlier today by commission members from the Social Democrat Party (SPD) and the Union 90/ Green Party.

Accordingly, in the period when the visa corruption surfaced, former President Ludger Volmer, who prepared the visa circular, will make a statement on April 21.

The SPD and the Greens would like Fischer to submit a statement before the North-Rhein Westfalia parliamentary elections to be held on May 22.
