All bunkers and weapon factories, which were constructed at subsurface, had been converted into ruins due to severe bombardments during the 2nd Gulf War.

Informing reporters, US spokesman Squadron Leader Brian Lynch stated that the searches and inspections are going on. According to these statements, those bunkers were built as resitant to nuclear and chemical attacks and 100 people can shelter in a bunker. There is also air filter system there. But, now the bunkers are only wreckages because they were among first targests of coalition air forces.
