F-16 plane fell down due to techinal failure

ANKARA (AA) – The General Staff stated on Thursday that a F-16 war plane crashed near Zile town of northern province of Tokat due to a technical failure, adding that pilot of the plane survived the crash.

Releasing a statement, the General Staff said, "an F-16 war plane of the Fifth Main Jet Base Command crashed during a training flight in southwest of Zile town at 15.35 local time due to a technical failure."

Noting that pilot of the plane, who left the plane with a parachute, survived the crash, the statement added that a full investigation into the crash was under way.
