Exodus from Rafah as Palestinians Flee

Residents of the Camp loaded their belongings onto trucks and horse carts. They then quickly headed to the neighboring town, the only place they could escape to.

The mass exodus began after both the Israeli High Court and the Israeli Army announced that the demolition of Palestinian homes would continue.

Israeli bulldozers had started razing homes at the Camp last Friday (May 14) in order to broaden the security corridor at the Egypt-Gaza border.
