The magazine contends that these accomplishments are beneficial in the fight against terrorism.

L’express warns, "If we say ‘No’, we would strengthen both radical Islam and marginal right nationalism. On the other hand, hope for membership stimulates Turkey to iron out its relations with its neighbor, Greece, in addition to continuing with the democratization process."
