EU put another issue in front of Turkey after Cyprus
KUSADASI (AA) – Ahmet Zeki Bulunc, the Ambassador of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to Turkey said on Saturday that "if resistance about Cyprus issue is broken, other issues like Pontus Greeks, southeastern problem, Aegean islands will be brought in front of Turkey tomorrow."
Evaluating the developments in Cyprus issue in Kusadası town of western Aydın province, Bulunc said that people had to defend Cyprus cause.
"Cyprus is a resistance point for Turkey. International agreements accepted the fact that there were two states in Cyprus and that those two states had limited independent structures. However the attitude of Greek Cypriot side which acted with Enosis spirit led to the 1974 Peace Operation," said Bulunc.
Bulunc commented that Annan plan wanted to encircle Turkish Cypriots in a way against human rights, adding that "the plan wants TRNC to leave 71 percent of its water need to Greek Cypriots, to leave 77,000,000 square meters of land to Greek Cypriots, it urges 110,000 Turks to migrate and urges transfer of 682,056 kilometers of TRNC territory to Greek Cypriot side. So 80,000 Greek Cypriots will settle in Turkish Cypriot side and Turks will be in minority in their own territory. No Turkish Cypriot person wants implementation of Annan plan."
