EU donates three million euros to Sakarya

The EU, in line with these projects, will initiate five new projects in the province of Sakarya, which ranks first as the Turkish province with the greatest number of EU projects in existence currently.

Officials from the EU Basic Education Assistance Project, Rinda Bosker and Nimet Kocoglu, visited the governor of Sakarya, and informed him of the status of the current EU projects.

The Sakarya Provincial Education Director Aziz Ersoy also attended the meeting. After the meeting, the governor of Sakarya told reporters that the project was motivated by a desire for social impovement. Stating that the projects include parental education, seminars on training executives, and foreign language courses, "These projects are aimed at human development and not establishing schools. Besides Sakarya, 18 other Turkish cities have received a greenlight from the EU to initiate their projects. The EU decided to provide support for a total of 19 projects. I thank everyone who participated in preparing these projects."
