EU a Candidate for Nobel Prize?

Baykal is currently in Madrid attending the Socialist International meeting and mentioned that he yesterday met with Connie Frederiksson, one of the Sweden Social Democrat Party administrators. Baykal said, ‘Frederiksson, who anxiously supports Turkey’s EU membership, is in the committee that nominates candidates for Nobel Peace Price. If Turkey is given a date for talks then he will use his authority and nominate the EU as a candidate.’

Baykal also met with Iraq Kurdistan Patriots Union (IKYB) high level administrator Berham Salih, and conveyed his condolences to those who lost their lives in the Erbil suicide bombings.
