Erdogan to focus on trade in Russian visit
“Russia is Turkey’s second biggest economic partner,” the Prime Minister said, adding that he hoped the current level of trade, some $10 billion, would rise to 25 billion.
Soon after his arrival, Erdogan is scheduled to dine with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The two are to hold formal talks on Tuesday in the Kremlin.
Apart from being accompanied by his wife Emine, the Prime Minister is also travelling with a number of ministers, more than 500 representatives of Turkey’s business community and at least 90 journalists.
On the second day of his visit, Erdogan is to open a Turkish trade centre in the Russian capital and hold discussions with Turkish industrialists.
