‘Erdogan Offers to Withdraw 5,000 Cyprus Troops ‘
"The Turkish Prime Minister will come forth with a braver offer in October that will reduce the resistance of some important countries such as France and Austria," writes the paper. "In accordance with this, by leaving Maras to the UN Peace Force, the opening of the Magusa Port will be made easier, as desired by the European Union (EU). The generals have not yet approved Erdogan’s offers."
The newspaper also reports that Erdogan informed Washington about his intention to withdraw 5,000 soldiers from Cyprus by September.
