Edelman: We Fulfilled Turkey’s Demands in Telafer

Edelman assured Ankara that the demographic makeup of the predominantly Turkmen city was not affected by the American led forces’ 12-day siege.

Reports of impending tragedy in Telafer had led Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul to threaten to end Turkey’s cooperation with the US on Iraq issues the other day.

Gul’s remarks prompted Edelman to ask for a clarification.
