E.U. Requests Turkey To Reflect Views Of E.U.
Gul and Solana discussed Iraq war and developments in the Middle East at the meeting.
Following his meeting with Solana, Gul said that Solana wanted Turkey to reflect views of the EU at the meeting in Riyadh.
Upon a question, Gul stated that tension which escalated around Syria also concerned the EU and noted that the region had no more tolerance to tension.
Gul said that Turkey would participate in the meeting in Riyadh as a part of the EU.
Foreign Minister Gul and Maystadt took up cooperation fields with Turkey at the meeting.
Stating that Investment Bank was interested in making investment in Turkey, Gul said that the bank welcomed implementation of economic programme in Turkey.
Gul said that cooperation in some projects with the European Investment Bank continued and stated that the bank was interested in tube tunnel from the Istanbul Strait.
Gul and Polfer took up Turkey-EU relations during the meeting.
Sources said that Gul would go to Athens on Wednesday evening and he would attend European Conference on Thursday.
Gul and accompanying delegation, who wrapped up their contacts, departed from Luxembourg.
