A touching moment between a mother dog and her sick newborn puppy was caught on security camera, and now it’s winning hearts across social media. The incident took place on January 13 in Turkey, when a mother dog urgently carried her newborn puppy to the Beylikdüzü Alfa Veterinary Clinic, clutching the tiny pup in her mouth.
The viral CCTV footage begins with the determined dog entering the clinic, ensuring her little one was brought in for immediate care. Rather than waiting for human assistance, the mother makes her way to the clinic’s door and seeks help. The puppy, initially unconscious and suffering from hypothermia, was revived by the veterinary team.
Fortunately, the puppy survived, and is now recovering alongside its surviving brother from a litter of six. Both puppies, along with their mother, remain at the clinic for continued care.
A staff member noticed the dog mother first, standing at the clinic door, and opened it to assist her. Speaking to the Associated Press, Veterinarian Baturalp Doğan shared that his colleague, Emir, was the first to notice the dog’s unusual behaviour and immediately responded to her desperate call for help.
“At first, he can’t understand the situation because it is very strange. A dog comes with a puppy in its mouth and drops the puppy on the ground. It is not possible to understand at first whether the puppy is alive or not. The animal is already cold as ice,” Dogan told AP.
