Deutsche Post acquires firms in Chile, Turkey

Commercial Safeway controls 40 percent of Chile’s airfreight export market with a turnover in 2002 of 60 million euros ($64.72 million) in 2002. The company’s core business is fish, fruit and vegetable exports to the United States.The acquisition of Berben Express had yet to be cleared by Turkish competition authorities, Deutsche Post said.It gave did not give financial details of the acquisitions.
