Cyprus issue should be taken at the NSC

In the written statement Ecevit has made, he said that the government’s Foreign Ministry’s studies has left the Annan Plan behind.

“Even Greece Foreign Ministry would be more fair,” Ecevit said adding that the Foreign Ministry’s study foresees the decrease of the Turkish troops on the island from 30,000 to 6,000 and to zero.

“The Cyprus issue should be taken in the NSC meeting and Denktas must attend this meeting,” he said adding, “The public should warn the government. Because, Cyprus for Turkey is a national problem.”
