Cyprus Crisis in EU-ICO Forum

The lobby activity carried out by the Greek Cypriots in the EU against Turkey, produced a result. Before the European Union – Islamic Conference Organization Forum to be held on October 4 and 5 in Istanbul, the state of TRNC created crisis. EU Term President Netherlands opposed to TRNC’s attending the meeting as the "Turkish Cypriot State" and informed thereof to Turkey.

Ankara, whose decision is not changed, conveyed the EU that TRNC would attend the forum with this title. Holland announced that it would not attend the meeting and asked the EU capitals to follow suit. However, the United Kingdom revealed the crack among the EU member states by announcing that it would carry out a separate evaluation.
