Cyprus: "Annan Plan could be negotiated"

Ankara, TURKEY, November 13, 2003 – Speaking on Bayrak television last night, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas joined Ankara’s call for new horizons in Cyprus. The dispute about the island has been officially stated as an obstacle to Turkey’s European Union membership process. Denktas informed that new efforts for a solution, initiated with Turkey, would "open a new window" for the Cyprus issue.
