Critical EU summit for Turkey in Brussels

The summit, which aimed to find a common ground on the EU Constitution, started in Brussels today.

EU’s Term Presidency Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said that there was disagreement among them but they tried to find a common ground for an agreement. He stated, “It is a difficult subject because every country considered its own interests.”

In draft paper, it was underlined that Turkey implemented some EU reforms and most of political Copenhagen criteria. Additionally the report stated that Turkey came closer to EU when road map considered which took Turkey to negotiations.
