CPF buys Turkish chicken processor

Charoen Pokphand Foods Plc has bought Turkey’s biggest chicken processing company as part of its plan to expand to the Eastern European market.

CPF paid US$22 million (Bt879 million) to buy CP Standard Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (CPS) from CPF’s sister company, CP Pokphand Co Ltd of Hong Kong.
