Constitutional Court cancels forest sale law

The government had passed the law, in spite of intensive reaction, on 31 July 2003 and President Sezer had vetoed it on August 15. However, since the government has only one chance to veto the laws, the AKP government which has a majority at Parliament had adopted the law without making any changes on it, on November 5.

However, Sezer had then Petitioned to the high court to reverse the law.
