Commercial Relations Between Turkey And Tunisia Should Be Developed

Lessir said that the standards of living in Tunisia, which had very few natural resources, were very high, adding that Tunisia was a very attractive country for international investment and trade.

Lessir said that Tunisia carried out industrial projects with 12 Turkish partners in the sectors of textile, mechanics, industry, electricity and electrical devices, adding that ”we must have bigger partnership projects like founding Tunisian-Turkish thread factory or founding a common construction firm which can act on a broader geographical field.”

Tunisian Foreign Investment Promotion Agency’s Promotion Director Amina Mkada said that Tunisia had a strategic status, giving information about the economy of the country, legal regulations and sectors.

ASO Executive Board member and Foreign Relations Commission Chairman Ayhan Bozkurt said in his part that the foreign trade volume was below the existing potential despite the good relations with Tunisia. He added that studies were underway on the state level to increase the relations between the two countries.
