CIA Expert: Occupying Iraq is a Terrific Gift for Bin Laden

The CIA expert, whose book titled, "Imperial Arrogance: Why does the West Is Losing the War on Terrorism?" was published by "Anonymous" last month. During the statement he made to the France news agency, Agency France Press (AFP), he defined the US occupation in Iraq as a disaster. The high-ranking expert, who led the CIA unit that followed Al Qaeda leader, Bin Laden, between 1996 and 1999, claimed that the US’ policies in Iraq and Afghanistan have made things easier for Al Qaeda to recruit people from Muslim world. The Expert stressed that the Iraqi occupation confirmed Bin Laden’s argument that he espoused for a decade: that the "West and Israel seek ways of occupying Islamic lands and the US planned to disintegrate countries that are threat to Israel and the US’ desire for Arab crude oil." The expert likened the situation in Iraq, where the US has lost more than 900 soldiers, to Afghanistan in the 1980’s when mujahedeens from all over the Muslim world fought the Russian invasion.
