CHP collecting signatures to annul troop permission

Opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) is collecting signatures to apply to Constitutional Court to annul Parliament decision to grant the government the authority to send troops to Iraq and CHP deputies Oya Arasli and Atilla Kart are preparing the paperwork.

Application will cite Constitution’s 92nd article stating that Parliament was the only body that could declare war or use the military.
