Bush: Our Solution Efforts To Continue in Cyprus

"The United States continues its devotion to the principle of finding fair and permanent solution in Cyprus. In the aforementioned period, serious efforts continued in the direction of the persuasion of the two sides in Cyprus to restart the negotiations within the framework of a solution plan, which was proposed by the United Nations (UN) Secretary General Kofi Annan, and in accordance with the UN good will mission. As it has been in the past, the U.S. officials including the Colin Powell, U.S. Secretary of State, Marc Grossman, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Thomas Weston, the US Department of State Special Coordinator for Cyprus, Michael Klosson, the U.S. Ambassador to the Greek Cypriot Side, Robert Pearson, the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Thomas Miller, the U.S. Ambassador to Greece gave an intense diplomatic support during this period."
