Bush, Erdogan Meet in Ankara

According to the information obtained, the two leaders discussed regional and economic issues in addition to the countries’ bilateral relations.

Erdogan demanded that Bush take serious steps to carry out several of his promises on the Cyprus issue. The Turkish Prime Minister told Bush that he need not wait for the EU to take action on the Cyprus issue.

Erdogan also expressed Turkey’s wish that the international community begin regular flights to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

-Turkey’s concerns about the PKK/KONGRA-GEL terrorist organization
