Boy of 16 rescued alive after six days in ruins
Applause of flood broke out while he was being rescued under stairs space on the ground floor during search and rescue operations. Whistles added to huge applauses while an ambulance was leaving the site to carry Mohammed to a nearby hospital for medical care. He asked a glass of water first when he moved to life on the earth after six days under ruins. "There was nobody next to him. It has taken half an hour to rescue him." said a civil defence worker. Another rescue worker said the survivor remained conscious and was in good condition. "He asked water first when he was rescued" he added.
