Bodies of 2 Turkish Hostages Turn up in Iraq
Last week, the Kitabu’l-Imam Al-Mujaheed in Iraq kidnapped two Turkish engineers. The militants threatened to kill Abdullah Ozdemir and Ali Daskin unless the companies they worked for left Iraq within three days.
The Usluel and SA-RA firms, which the two Turkish engineers worked for, immediately announced after the kidnapping that they would pull out of Iraq.
Diplomatic sources said that they have no clear information about the bodies that were discovered. The issue is under investigation.
In addition, the body of Murat Yuce, a Turkish hostage executed by the Tawhid and Jihad Group at the beginning of August, has not yet been recovered.
