BILSAT Satellite Sends First Telemetric Data

According to information given by BILTEN Director Professor Erol Kocaoglan, BILSAT was launched at 9:11 a.m., and in a short time was placed into orbit at an altitude of 686 kilometres.

Kocaoglan added that the launch was completed in better than expected conditions, and it is confirmed that the satellite is in orbit. He also confirmed that initial telemetric data was transmitted to mission control.
