Bengal team to go to Turkey for enhancing ties

The 20-member team, under the aegis of the city-based social forum Bengal Initiative, will visit several places in Turkey, including Ankara, Istanbul and the ancient city of Izmir.

The delegates would meet politicians, industry officials, cultural personalities, sportspersons and professionals to explore possibilities of cooperation and joint ventures.

The Indian delegation would include industry captains, doctors, lawyers, sports personalities, artistes and academicians.

Bengal Initiative officials say they would strive to "wrapsell West Bengal to Turkey" during the 10-day trip.
